ABOUT ME
Dr. Shanker Dhakal is an interdisciplinary civil/structural engineer with sound academic and professional specialisation on multi-hazards, disaster mitigation, emergency response, STI/technology development, earthquake and vibrations, integrated settlement planning and reconstruction, WASH+Health (including COVID-19) facilities, sustainable and inclusive infrastructure planning, design and evaluations – of both rural and urban settings. .
With the worldwide collaboration track records (esp. Nepal, Japan, Australia, India and South Korea), Shanker is lately serving in tech and infra projects of Nepal related to Water Supply and Sanitation as an Individual Consultant in varied roles of Design Research Support Expert, Senior Design and QAQC Engineer, Social Engineer etc. and the projects are mostly funded by Government of Nepal and ADB.
