- NEA-JC was the branch of NEA in Japan that unfortunately got collapsed later after NEA changed its constitution in Nepal, without seeking any progressive alternatives, and NEA-JC eventually was transformed into independent NEAJ. I served as one of productive Secretaries of NEA-JC during my tenure.
NRNA is an umbrella organisation of Nepali diaspora in various countries of the world.
However not all (almost 90%) are affiliated to it as it’s a membership based organisation and there are several flaws and ethical conflicts in membership database itself mostly paid by those who aspire to lead the organisation let alone their over-politicization based on political parties of Nepal. Members make panels based on political parties which is against it’s own constitution but the election commission (having cadres of the political parties themselves) keeps it’s eyes closed. Similar is the situation in NEA.
My independent and uniting campaigns for NEA & NRNA transformation
D3ISE Transformation is the popular model to fundamentally transform NEA and NRNA like organisations that I proposed during the 2016, 2019 and 2022 elections. It calls for depoliticizing, integrating, innovating, internationalizing and standardizing the ethical values and norms of the organisations that should eventually focus on securing the employability of their membership, say through the promotion of entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Moreover, I did experiment running for elections by making alliance of my independent movements with existing or new political-sounding forces that agreed to challenge the status quo and embrace the philosophy of D3ISE transformation carried by the former. Unfortunately, this uniting strategy didn’t work in any case – with NS affiliated engineers’ team of former PM (Dr. BRB) in 2016, with NC fraction of diaspora in 2019 and with NCP/UML fraction of engineers along with MC and JSP engineers in 2022. It was a greatly enlightening experience to see them (their problems and strengths) from inside in each of those campaigns nevertheless.
